The 2nd Season is Here

High school sports followers call the season ending playoffs, "the 2nd season". When you slowly wedle down teams through the elimination process, trying to find out who is the best, the champion. Well in high school girl's basketball around this area, it's time.

In the "Power Rankings" #1 Prairie, from the GSHL 3A where they ran the table 20-0, now prepare for the District and Bi-district tournaments. It's win and move on, lose and face the possibility of going home, for Prairie, #5 Mountain View, Camas, and Kelso. And in a twist of fate, Columbia River, Hudson's Bay and even Fort Vancouver have some post season play in the 3A. Every team in the league is still alive.

Battle Ground is the 3rd place team in the GSHL 4A and is waiting to see who they will face for a "one game play in to Regional's". Evergreen and Skyview will lock horns Monday night to determine who will win the GSHL 4A league title. The winner will have a home game in the Regional's and the loser will host Battle Ground for the 2nd seed to the tournament. Evergreen and Skyview are 2-3 in the Power Rankings.

Woodland with a big win this week over Mark Morris, wrap up the GSHL 2A championship and maintains it's #4 spot in the "Power Rankings".

Good luck to your teams, have a great 2nd season
