An exciting 1st week in Girl's basketball

Saturday one local game and Prairie at Nike Tourney

Battle Ground defeats Hockinson 45 - 39. Kiley Thomas hit for 20 points and Aubri Squires had 10 for the Tiger's. The Hawk's were lead by Amanda McCarty's 18.

Prairie went up against one of the top teams in the country, Potter's House Christian (FL). The final score was 93 - 37. The Falcon's traditional play some of the toughest teams in the country to prepare for the league season. It's has worked well in the past. Michelle Bolliger scored 13 points for Prairie.

Friday night provides a few surprises

On the calender the Skyview vs. Camas game seem to be one everyone wanted to see. But the Storm clearly was the better team this night. 71 - 39. Brooke Bowen 16, Larissen Hamilton 15, Maddie VanLiew 15, Delaney Kesen 12 lead the balance scoring attack for Skyview. Caitlin Bower's 10 points lead the Papermaker's.

Mark Morris hit (8) 3 pointers to shock Evergreen 42 - 39. Kylie Farmer hit (5) 3 pointers for 15 points to lead the Monarch's and Christie Kirkpatrick had 12 points. The Plainsmen were lead by Audrey Fraizer with 16 points, and Justine Joudrey with 12.

Heritage held of Union to start there season (2-0) with a 56 - 47 victory. Emily Myers lead the Timberwolve's with 10 points. Janae Davis scored 13 points to lead the (1-1) Titian's.

Columbia River defeats Battle Ground 47 - 30. Kass Cloyd tops River scoring with 19 points. Kiley Thomas with 11 points paces the Tiger's.

Southridge (PTLD) rolls Prairie 70 - 36. The second round of the Nike Tourney wasn't very kind to the Falcon's. Heather Corral's 13 points and Lauren Goecke's 12 lead the scoring for Prairie. Ashenteller's 13 points lead a balance attack for Southridge.

Washougal get's off to a (2-1) record with a nice win over Stevenson 68 - 33. The Panther's have to players score over 20 points with Mary Kratovil getting 25 and Alicia McElroy scoring 23. Rutherford had 11 points for Stevenson.

Ridgefield takes Hudson's Bay 64 - 38. Shelby Williams has 16, Hannah Grenz gets 10, Nichole Kates scores a huge 27 points to lead the Spudder's. Bay was lead by Alexis Gleason's 14 points.

Woodland 57 Kalama 28. Charity Arn had 12 pts, Kylie Moses scored 10 pts, and Emily Smith scored 16 to lead the Beaver's.

Thursday night had some action.

Evergreen open the season with they're 1st victory in 3 years. A win over Columbia River at home 42 - 35. Justine Joudrey scored 17 points and Shamerica Scott had 15 points and 14 rebounds to lead the Plainsmen. Brittany Hewett had 13 points to pace the Chieftain's.

Mountian View rolled over Fort Vancouver 50 - 14. Carly Holboke had 11 points to lead the Thunder. The Trapper's are struggling to score points so far this year.

Prairie started the Nike Tournament in Beaverton with a victory of Central Catholic (PTLD) 55 - 41. Lauren Goecke had 14 points for the Falcon's. Kylee Schierman scored 14 and Kailee Johnson had 11 for Central Catholic.

Wednesday night scores

Hockinson jumped all over Fort Vancouver 62 - 18. Amanda McCarty had a big night with 21 points for the Hawk's.

Heritage 72 Washougal 41. Tashawna Gordon scored 14 points, Clara Russel had 12 and Emily Myers had 10 points to lead the Timberwolve's. Alicia McElroy had 13 points for the Panther's.

Battle Ground defeats Mark Morris 49 - 37 for the Tiger's opener. Tori Dixon scores 13 to pace Battle Ground.
