"Speed kills", that's an ole saying. In basketball, if you've got it, it helps, if not, you're dead. Last night in Tumwater, Kelso was killed by speed 68 - 59. Countless break away layups after defensive rebounds for Tumwater buried Kelso. It seem like a recording, Tumwater would get the defensive rebound, out let pass then layup. Kelso leading scorer was Carly Perkins with 26 points, Caitlynn Jackson and Jessica Warthen had 10 each. Hopefully this games marks Caitlynn's full recovery from off season surgery and she'll be ready for league play, the Lassie's will need her.
In other games, Skyview lost to Anacortes 61 - 53, Washougal was beat by Mollalla of Oregon 69 - 29, & Ridgefield defeated Chehalis 49 - 29, and Prairie beat Norway (stats not available for these games)
